LE CHÂTEAU D’ETCHAUZ
The castle is classified as historical monument of France. The history of the castle d’Etchauz is paramount for Navarre. As one of France castle’s from the 11th and 16th centuries in the Basque Country, it is of great tourist interest. Historically it was rescued by the armies of Charles V and closely involved with the kingdom of Navarre and Spain.

Is decorated in a hunting theme. There is a queen size canopy bed. The sitting room has a chess table and very comfortable chairs. This room is approximately 600 sq. ft. and overlooks the mountains to the north of the chateau and the neighbor’s sheep farm. The bathroom is large and well lit.
Overlooking the Nive River and Oilandoy is approximately 500 sq. ft. It is furnished with an antique, hand painted, 19th century French bed measuring 66”, and other pieces of furniture from the Edwardian era. A handsome French armoire dominates this room. The ROMANTIQUE has a large, well lit bathroom.
